Heather Smith

Heather Smith, World Para Reining International Champion, began competing in World Para Reining competitions during the organizations inaugural year in 2015. Along with her teammates on the WPR Master USA Team, Smith won the Gold at the first ever WPR International Championship held at the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City, OK in 2016. Most recently, Smith competed in the 2017 WPR International Championship in Ermelo, Netherlands, where Team USA placed fourth and Smith placed fourth individually, after losing a tiebreaker for the Bronze by half a point! Smith rides out of Lower Maple Crest Stables in Granby, MA, where she can often be found spending time with Digby, her current reining partner, and accompanied by her devoted service dog, Fernando. We are all inspired by Smith and her dedication to bringing awareness to Para Reining and making riding an all-inclusive sport.
