In this month’s Team Absorbine Spotlight, we’re speaking with Morgan Palmer, our Marketing Coordinator here at Absorbine®. Morgan’s love for horses is truly lifelong rooted deeply in family tradition and a childhood spent in the barn. Her grandparents owned a horse farm for over 50 years, so it’s no surprise that Morgan was riding before she could even walk.
At just three years old, her grandparents got her first horse, Candy, as a Christmas gift. The following year, Candy had a foal named Bambi, who Morgan raised alongside her aunt and grandmother—and still owns today. Horses aren’t just a hobby for her; they are family.

Absorbine: What do you do with your horses these days?
Morgan: I own Bambi, a 23-year-old buckskin Quarter Horse, and Reggie, a 28-year-old grey Arabian who, despite his age, acts like he’s five. He’s full of energy and keeps things interesting!
Both of my horses are now in well-deserved retirement, but I competed in the jumper ring with them for years. These days, they enjoy 5+ acres of grassy fields, tons of treats, and occasional quick hacks or trail rides when the weather is nice.
Absorbine: Any fun horse care tips or barn hacks?
Morgan: Yes! I always recommend doing carrot stretches with your horse. You're already going to give them treats, why not get some benefit out of the process? It’s a great way to keep them flexible and engaged, even in retirement like mine. Plus, they absolutely love it.
Absorbine: What Absorbine® products do you swear by?
Morgan: Hands down, the Silver Honey® line is my go-to. Reggie somehow manages to get a cut, scrape, or minor injury almost every time I come to the barn, so I keep Silver Honey stocked everywhere. I love how it’s both gentle and effective—it gives me peace of mind knowing I’m using something safe and natural that actually works.
Absorbine: What do you love most about your horses?
Morgan: Their quirky personalities—no question. Reggie, in particular, has this habit of calling out to me every time I come to the barn. The barn owner told me he doesn’t do that for anyone else, and that just melts my heart. It’s those small, unique moments that remind me of the bond we share.
