The Honest to Goodness Upcycled Horse Treats are Upcycled Certified® meaning we’ve used approved and certified ingredients (apple and banana).

Honest to Goodness Upcycled Horse Treats were formulated by an Equine Nutritionist for horses specifically. That said, the ingredients are simple and clean and so owners may choose to feed the treats at their discretion, but we would recommend consulting with your veterinarian before doing so.

Honest to Goodness Upcycled Horse Treats have not been specifically tested for safety in pregnant or lactating mares. The ingredients in the recipes are all safe and appropriate for horses, but given the special needs of pregnant and lactating mares, we recommend you consult with your veterinarian before feeding.

Sugar content is measured by the Non-Structural Carbohydrate (NSC) result which measures both sugar and starch. The Apple Recipe contains 23% NSC and the Banana Recipe contains 26% NSC.
