Absorbine Celebrates Its 120th Anniversary
Posted by Animal Care Team onAbsorbine Celebrates Its 120th Anniversary during Equine Affair! How many companies can celebrate 120 years in business? At W. F. Young, we can proudly make that claim. The year was 1892 when Wilbur F. and Mary Ida Young developed the formula for Absorbine Veterinary Liniment using herbs and essential oils. Absorbine Veterinary Liniment continues as the flagship product of the company.
To celebrate, we invited our families and friends to a party during the recent Equine Affaire show in West Springfield, Massachusetts. It was an evening to celebrate where the company has come from and where we are heading.
Jaime McKinley, Vice President of Marketing and New Business Development – and Wilbur and Mary Ida’s great, great granddaughter – welcomed everyone and thanked special guests for their participation.
Adam Raczkowski, President and COO, gave a brief history of the company and a vision for the future.
Special guests included Mackenzie Carr, Miss Rodeo America 2012, along with New England Rodeo Queens, and Angelea Walkup of HorseGirlTV.com fame.
Amber McMillan, fourth in from the left, winner of the Absorbine/Horse Illustrated “Win a Trip to Equine Affaire” contest joined the party with her daughter and friends – and appeared to be having a great time.
There were displays to be viewed and a photo area where guests could don tiaras, boas, and bowler hats, evoking memories of Wilbur and Mary Ida’s era.
You know it’s a great party when people linger ….and enjoy every minute of the celebration.
A special thanks goes out to everyone who helped us celebrate. Here’s to another 120 years of providing the best quality products for horses and pets!
