On January 5th, Absorbine asked our fans on Facebook for some inspiring words to help each other motivate to the barn. We all need to go, they’re depending on us, but we thought it would be nice to be reminded with some winter motivation. Here are just a few of the encouraging words from readers!
My barn is downhill from the house so if there’s enough snow I ride a sled with a 5 gallon jug of hot water in front of me for my horse. Walking back up hill in the snow and wind isn’t quite as fun though! Which causes me to stay in the barn a little longer.
Putting cold hands underneath the horses’ blankets feels so warm.
Therapy!! I need my horse fix. This snow can’t keep me inside forever!!! I need that feel, that smell that piece of hay in my hair.
The excited nickers I get from our 13 horses when I arrive motivate me. I pretend they’re excited to see me and not about coming in for grain! Lol
Get rid of the winter blues when I see my guys face light up when he hears my voice…best thing ever…
I think about how hard my horses work for me all spring/summer/fall, and I don’t have to think twice about trudging through the snow to give them some extra special love during the winter months.
Don’t think about the weather… just think about how they make me feel.
Never know what nicks and cuts may need attending to. Or just a spa day!
